Susan Michie is Professor of Health Psychology and Director of the Centre for Behaviour Change (www.ucl.ac.uk/behaviour-change/) and of the Health Psychology Research Group at University College London, UK. Professor Michie has been a key player in advancing behavioural science and its application to the prevention and management of ill health and the delivery of quality health services, and regularly contributes to national and international policy work.

Lou Atkins PhD is a researcher, trainer and consultant in behaviour change intervention design and evaluation in health and environmental sustainability. Dr Atkins is an Associate Teaching Fellow of the Centre for Behaviour Change (University College London, UK) and a member of the Health Psychology Research Group at University College London.

Robert West is Professor of Health Psychology and Director of the Tobacco and Alcohol Research Group at University College London, UK. He is also Editor-in-Chief of the journal, Addiction. He has authored more than 500 scientific works. He was co-founder of the NHS Stop-smoking Services and of the UK’s National Centre for Smoking Cessation and Training. He is author of 'The SmokeFree Formula' (Orion) which aims to bring the science of stopping to smokers.
